Birthdays · Weddings · Showers · Just because

A cake the whole table can actually eat.

Gluten-free as standard, with vegan, dairy-free and Alpha-Gal safe builds available. Tell us the occasion and the restrictions, and we will work out the rest with you.

How it works

How it works, start to finish.

1. Tell us the brief

The date, roughly how many people, the occasion, and — most importantly — every dietary restriction at the table. Pictures of cakes you like are genuinely useful. So is “she just really likes lemon.”

2. We come back with a plan and a price

Flavor, filling, size, finish and cost, in writing, before anything is committed. If something in the brief will not work — a decoration that will not hold in July, say — we will tell you and suggest the alternative.

3. You confirm, we bake

Your cake is made in the same dedicated gluten-free kitchen as everything else in the case. No separate arrangements needed, because there is nothing to separate it from.

4. Collect from the shop

Pick up at 211 W. Clinton Avenue during opening hours, boxed and ready. We will talk you through storing it and cutting it before you go.

Vintage, in black

Shell borders, piped roses and a plaque, in a color most bakeries talk you out of. Not every cake is a birthday cake.

Good to know

Three things worth knowing.

Give us notice

Lead times move with the season — graduation and wedding weeks fill up fastest. Get in touch as early as you can and we will confirm what is possible for your date.

Bring every restriction

Gluten-free is a given. Tell us about dairy, egg, nut, soy or Alpha-Gal as well — it is much easier to design around them at the start than to work backwards.

Any size, within reason

From an eight-inch round for a kitchen table to tiered cakes for a wedding. If you are not sure what size you need, tell us the headcount and we will advise.

Start your cake

Cakes are booked over the phone.

One call usually does it. Ridgway or Dan will take the brief, tell you honestly what will and won’t work, and come back to you with a price.

“I ordered this cake and didn’t have anything in mind for the decorations besides the colors and told them it was Buzz Lightyear/Toy Story themed and they went above and beyond with making it super fun and cute!! Plus I ordered this a bit last minute and over a holiday weekend as well and they still were able to get it done for me.”

“We had the best experience with Bleu Bear Bakery for gluten-free Mother’s Day desserts! Although extremely busy, Ridgway reached out (after hours no less) & took my order a few days in advance.”
